The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Calls on the International Community to Implement the President’s Vision to End the Genocidal War and Achieve Lasting Peace
A year has passed since the genocidal war and forced displacement launched by Israel, the illegal occupying power, against the Palestinian people and their legitimate national rights, particularly in the Gaza Strip. The Israeli occupation continues its systematic policy of ethnic cleansing, committing mass atrocities throughout the occupied Palestinian territory. Each day, this war inflicts more martyrs, injuries, and displacement, deepening the humanitarian catastrophe. Over the past year, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates has intensified efforts to mobilize a broad international coalition to stop this genocidal war. The Ministry remains actively engaged in exposing the depth of the conspiracy and highlighting the illegal actions and grave violations perpetrated by the occupying power, which are part of a broader colonial, expansionist, and racist project aimed at the total eradication of our people’s rights.
The Ministry unequivocally condemns all forms of genocide and forced displacement inflicted by the Israeli occupation and its terrorist tools, which have persisted for over a year. In response, the Ministry continues its relentless political, diplomatic, and legal efforts on the international stage to turn global consensus against the war into concrete, actionable steps. These efforts seek to compel Israel, the illegal occupying power, to comply with international law, including relevant UN resolutions and the precautionary measures and advisory opinion issued by the International Court of Justice, endorsed by the United Nations General Assembly.
The Ministry reaffirms its commitment to fully implement President Mahmoud Abbas' historic speech at the recent UN General Assembly, which outlined the Palestinian vision for today and the future. This vision is being actively translated into actionable diplomatic initiatives on both bilateral and multilateral levels, calling on the international community to fulfill its legal and moral obligations. These obligations include enforcing an immediate ceasefire and halting the genocidal war and mass forced displacement inflicted upon our people. Concurrently, the Ministry is exerting every effort to cultivate international consensus towards implementing the UN General Assembly’s call for an end to the occupation within 12 months.
The Ministry stresses that resolving the Palestinian question is essential and the singular gateway to ensuring peace, security, and stability in the region and beyond. The continued disregard for Palestinian rights fuels an endless cycle of conflict. Lasting peace, security, and prosperity can only be achieved by ending the occupation and recognizing Palestinian sovereignty—an outcome in the vital interest of all nations. The world can no longer afford to ignore the root cause of instability. True peace will only come when justice is restored to the Palestinian people.
