Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates: Israel Commits Atrocities of Genocide and Displacement in Northern Gaza to Sabotage Any Ceasefire Opportunity
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates strongly condemns the horrific acts of genocide, forced displacement, and ethnic cleansing repeatedly carried out by the Israeli government against our people in Gaza, particularly in the northern region. These atrocities include mass killings, a complete blockade, and forced evacuations aimed at emptying the area of its inhabitants, as part of a systematic campaign to obliterate everything in the north, paving the way for its separation from Gaza and a total Israeli control.
The Ministry affirms that the occupying power continues to impose its military agenda on the region and the international community, deliberately undermining political and diplomatic solutions, which are the only viable means to halt the ongoing genocide. By obstructing and rejecting regional and international efforts aimed at ending the war and addressing the core of the conflict—the Palestinian cause—Israel seeks to render any talk of a peaceful resolution impractical. The Ministry also emphasizes that the expansion of Israel’s war efforts is a calculated move to mask its crimes in Gaza, manipulate the dynamics of the region, and realign its priorities to serve its colonial interests, all while sidelining the Palestinian cause from the global agenda.
In this context, the Ministry calls on the international community to move beyond mere criticism, urging practical measures to ensure the implementation of international legal decisions, particularly those related to the immediate cessation of genocide and forced displacement, as well as the resolution of the Palestinian issue. The Ministry reaffirms its commitment to intensifying its political, diplomatic, and legal efforts on the international stage to dismantle and refute the Israeli narrative globally, and implementing the UN General Assembly’s resolution by mobilizing further international efforts to ensure its immediate execution.
