Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Discusses Cooperation with Brazilian Minister of Science, Technology, and Innovation
During her official visit to Brazil, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Dr. Varsen Aghabekian Shaheen, met with the Brazilian Minister of Science, Technology, and Innovation, Luciana Santos, to explore opportunities for joint cooperation between the two countries.
For her part, Minister Santos welcomed Minister Shaheen on her official visit to Brazil and expressed her pride in the relationship between Brazil and the Palestinian people. She also expressed admiration for the level of education in Palestine and the advanced role of women in the field of technology in the country.
Minister Santos condemned the criminal attacks being inflicted upon the Palestinian people by Israel, warning of the serious consequences these atrocities could have on the technology sector in Palestine.
In response, Minister Shaheen thanked Minister Santos for the warm hospitality and expressed her appreciation to Brazil for its continued and unwavering support. She proposed the signing of an agreement to foster cooperation in the field of information technology between the ministries of Brazil and Palestine, with a focus on areas such as training, knowledge exchange, technology transfer, and other potential avenues for collaboration.
In this regard, Minister Santos welcomed the idea of strengthening cooperation between the two countries, noting that Brazil has a history of sharing expertise with other nations, and therefore, there is potential for collaboration with the State of Palestine in this area.
