Malki receives Turkmen deputy Foreign minister
Minister of Foreign Affairs and expatriates Dr. Riad Malki received the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Mr. Berdenaz Matiev, and his entourage at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and expatriates in the city of Ramallah.
The Minister welcomed Mr. Matiev, expressing his pleasure in hosting him here in Palestine, appreciating the distinctive relations between the two countries reflected in President Mahmoud Abbas's visit to Ashgabat and the signing of a number of agreements between the two sides. Malki expressed Palestine's readiness to provide Turkmenistan with Palestinian expertise in all fields.
Minister Malki noted the importance of holding the political consultation session between the two parties in the city of Ramallah. Minister Malki expressed his satisfaction with the outcome of the political consultation session. What has been agreed between the parties, and it is worth mentioning that this afternoon the political consultations between the two sides were held under the chairmanship of Ambassador Dr. Mazen Shamieh The Assistant Minister for Asia, Africa and Australia, and presided over the Turkmen side Mr. Berdenaz Matiev, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. Added Malki , we are looking forward to the convening of the Joint Ministerial Committee to develop and strengthen relations between the two parties.
For his part, Mr. Matiev thanked the Minister for his hospitality, and conveyed the greetings of Turkmen President Gurangley Berdiedov to His Excellency President Mahmoud Abbas. The outcome of the meeting of the political consultations between the two parties was appreciated. He noted the importance of strengthening economic and investment relations between the two parties. He considered his visit to be a preparation for the visit which the Turkmen President intends to undertake soon in response to President Mahmoud Abbas's invitation to him.
