Malki Participates in the Euro-Arab Ministerial Meeting in Brussels
The Minister of Foreign Affairs and expatriates, Dr.Riad Malki arrived in the Belgian capital, Brussels to preside the Palestinian delegation participating in the Arab-European Foreign ministers meeting, in preparation of the first Arab-European summit that will be held in Sharm el-Sheikh next month on the 24th and 25th of February.
During his speech at the meeting, Malki stressed the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people and the need to immediately salvage the two-state solution and warned of the serious impact of the unilateral racist actions committed by the occupying Power--Israel on the two-state solution and the establishment of a sovereign Palestinian state. Dr. Malki stated that Israel is moving forward with its colonial, racist, and expansionist settlements construction project against the Palestinian land and people, aiming at altering the establishment of an independent Palestinian State on the borders of 1967 and East Jerusalem as its capital.
Dr. Malki concluded by expressing gratitude to those who contributed for the support of the UN Relief and Employment Agency (UNRWA) and appealed to the international community to continue this support , in addition, his excellency requested the European countries to abide to the outcomes of the summit of EU leaders back in 2009, and recognize the Palestinian State on the borders of 7 June 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
