The Chinese Ambassador reviewed the series of positions of his country in support of the rights of the Palestinian people and the Palestinian issue during the past period, which was issued from the top of the Chinese government hierarchy, President Xi Jinping, which renews and confirms the Chinese position on Palestine as a central issue in the Middle East region, It supported the two-state solution and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the fourth June 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
The two sides discussed the policies of the US administration towards Palestine, especially the so-called "Manama Economic Workshop", titled "Peace for Prosperity" and its political repercussions on the Palestinian issue and the region. In this context, Minister Malki renewed the refusal of the Palestinian leadership to convene this workshop, which is being drafted away from legitimate Palestinian rights.
Minister Malki addressed the policies of the Palestinian government in confronting the financial and economic blockade imposed on it, and abiding by the established national positions. The role of the supporting States in helping the Palestinian government to emerge from its economic crisis was appreciated.
At the end of the meeting, Minister Malki stressed the appreciation of the State of Palestine for the consistent and concrete Chinese positions that enhance the steadfastness and determination of the Palestinian people to remain their land.
