The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemns, in the strongest terms, the closure of Palestinian institutions in Jerusalem and the demolition of Abu al-Nawar Bedouin School in the east of the occupied capital by the Israeli authorities’. This crime have been repeatedly committed serving the occupation authorities efforts to deprive Palestinian Children from their right of education and to displace “Abu al-Nawar’s” community in preparation for the implementation of the settlement expansion plan known as (EI). In this context, the Ministry also condemns the Israeli Government’s decision of legitimizing, expanding, and deepening “Hifat Gilad Settlement.”
The Ministry asserts that the ruling right in Israel deals with the status quo as an opportunity to attain Israeli interests in the occupied West Bank through the exploitation of the American bias and blatant stance towards the occupation, which is preventing the establishment of an independent state on the borders of 4 June 1967 with occupied East Jerusalem as its capital.
The international community and the United Nations are called to act swiftly and restrain Israeli policies aimed at destroying all opportunities for peace and negotiations, and to hold Israel accountable; as an occupying power, for its grave violations of international law, international humanitarian law, and the Geneva Conventions. The international community is obligated to defend its remaining credibility and protect the legal and ethical foundations of the international legitimacy, before it is too late.
