The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates welcomes the ceasefire agreement announced by U.S. President Trump, and underscores the importance of continued efforts to uphold it and to adopt diplomacy and negotiations as the path to resolving conflicts and disputes.

The Ministry emphasizes the strategic necessity of intensifying international efforts to put an end to all forms of genocide, forced displacement, and annexation targeting the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem. The Ministry also stresses the urgent need to revive a credible political process to resolve the Palestinian issue, based on the two-state solution, in accordance with the Arab Peace Initiative and relevant international legitimacy resolutions.
