The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates // The International Criminal Court will Accuse the Fate of Bennett and His Colonial Decisions

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemns, in the strongest terms, the announcement of the Minister of the Israeli Occupation Army, Naftali Bennett, yesterday evening, for his final approval of a settlement project in the city of Hebron, in the south of the West Bank, which includes the confiscation of Palestinian land in the Old City of Hebron to construct a settlement road for the use of settlers reaching the Ibrahimi Mosque, in addition to his decision to establish a settlement elevator for the same purpose, in order to change Arab and Islamic landmarks and the identity of the Palestinian region, and to create new realities that fall within the framework of a widespread Judaization process to overthrow the city of Hebron and it's noble surroundings.

The Ministry considers the decision of the Minister of the Occupation Army a representation of  the ugliest racist exploitation to preoccupy the world and the Palestinian people in facing the Corona pandemic to implement this expansionist colonial scheme, as a new chapter in the ongoing Israeli targeting of the Old City of Hebron, and as an extension of the campaign of ugly Judaization led by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, whether from his visits and the pillars of his provocative rule of the ancient city, or by making promises and decisions to confiscate large parts of it, such as the Hisbah market, the municipal stadium, and the entire area surrounding the site.

The Ministry considers the American bias towards the occupation and its colonial projects, which is reflected in the so-called deal of the century, supported the Far-right political spectrum in Israel to continue settlement operations and violate the sanctity of Islamic and Christian sanctities, including the Ibrahimi Mosque, which is an integral part of the annexation calls advocated by Netanyahu. The Ministry affirms that this colonial and racist decision is a crime in accordance with international law, the Geneva Conventions and the Rome Statute, which requires the international community to move quickly to put pressure on the occupation authorities to discourage them from implementing these Judaizing projects, and it also requires the International Criminal Court to end the state of discussion and debate, and adopt the Prosecutor’s recommendation on the jurisdiction of the court applied to the occupied Palestinian territory, and the initiation of an official investigation into the crimes of the occupation and the settlers, to reach the accountability of the Israeli officials involved in these crimes.
