Palestinian Women’s National Day.. A Year of Genocide
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates reaffirms the central role of Palestinian women in the enduring resilience of our people and the steadfast pursuit of our national aspirations. As symbols of unity, courage, and resilience, Palestinian women embody the spirit of our collective struggle. On Palestinian Women’s National Day, the Ministry extends its highest regard to Palestinian women, whose sacrifices and heroic resistance shine amidst the atrocities of the genocidal war.
The Ministry also emphasizes the inalienable right of Palestinian women and girls to live in peace and security, free from systematic violations and terror inflicted by the illegal Israeli occupation and settler terrorism. These ongoing attacks represent the extreme and inhuman policies of an unlawful occupation, underscoring the urgent need for justice. The path to justice for Palestinian women can only be achieved through the end of this illegal Israeli occupation and its policies of oppression.
The Ministry urgently calls for the activation of international protection mechanisms and demands the swift implementation of the United Nations General Assembly’s resolution endorsing the International Court of Justice’s advisory opinion on ending the Israeli occupation of the State of Palestine. Immediate action is essential to halt the ongoing genocide, lift the siege on Gaza, and ensure the unimpeded entry of humanitarian aid to meet basic needs, especially those of women and girls.
Furthermore, the Ministry calls for comprehensive and robust international sanctions on Israel, the illegal occupying power, to bring an immediate end to its genocidal actions against the Palestinian people, including women and girls. It is the duty of the international community to hold the occupying power accountable and to uphold justice.
On this solemn day, the Ministry reaffirms the right of Palestinian women and girls to protection from grave violations, their right to self-determination, and their right to independence. Additionally, we assert the inalianable right of Palestinian refugees to return, recognizing that only through these measures can lasting justice and peace be realized.
