In the light of the UN report Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate: the international community has to take its responsibilities about the education in Palestine.

 

   The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and expatriates welcomes the joint UN statement issued by the United Nations Humanitarian Coordinator for Palestine, Jamie McGoldrick, and the Special Representative of UNICEF, Genevieve Boutin and UNESCO, and what he expressed from deep concern over the violations of the occupation and settlers against Education in Palestine, stressing the importance of respecting schools and educational institutions as places of learning, and that: (Children may never be the target of violence).

The Ministry asserts that it is following with great interest the increased attacks and violations against the Palestinian education sector and in coordination with the Ministry of Education and Higher education, including the injury of a number of children of the educational family, the handing over of demolition orders to a number of schools, and the incursions accompanied by the firing Bullets, including live, sound bombs and poisonous gas, attacks on educational staff and students and the denial of safe access to their schools, as well as during the past two days of the schools of Khalat al-Dabaa, al-Dawiyah, Laban, Khiba and Khadr), as stated in the Ministry of Education's statement.

 

The ministry, is condemning in the strongest terms the violations of the occupation and the settlers and their crimes against the Palestinian education sector and its institutions and workers, and calls upon the international community to address with the utmost seriousness what is contained in this report its warnings of the dangers and consequences of the continued targeting Of the occupation and the settlers to educational institutions, and human rights and humanitarian organizations are demanding that they carry out their responsibilities in the direction of flagrant violations of international law and the principles of Palestinian human right. The Ministry affirms that the sufficiency of the international community and its competent United Nations organizations to condemn statements or reports that diagnose the situation in Palestine, without being followed by international legal procedures and measures that deter the occupation and hold Israeli officials accountable for their crimes against our people, encourages the occupation to Continuing to commit further violations and crimes against the Palestinian educational process.
