Foreign Ministry Condemns Settler Terror Attacks on Russian and Dutch Diplomatic Convoys in Occupied Palestine
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates strongly condemns the brutal attacks by armed settler terrorists on a Russian diplomatic vehicle carrying members of the friendly Russian Federation mission, and on a Dutch diplomatic vehicle carrying the Dutch ambassador and political attaché.
The Ministry considers these assaults a flagrant violation of international norms and laws, particularly the Vienna Convention, and a stark manifestation of the arrogance, lawlessness, and impunity of organized, armed settler militias, empowered and protected by the occupying state. These assaults underscore the constant and grave threats Palestinian civilians face daily from settler terrorism on roads and in towns across the occupied territory, under the supervision and protection of the Israeli occupation army.
The Ministry urges states and the international community to take firm and courageous positions, impose strict and deterrent sanctions on settler terrorist groups, and exert genuine pressure on the occupying state to hold them accountable, dismantle their networks, cut off their sources of funding, and strip them of the protection and support they receive.
