Settlers’ Attack on Abu Falah Village Is an Organized Crime Reflecting a Dangerous Escalation in Settler Terrorism in Occupied West Bank

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates strongly condemns the terrorist crime committed today by settler gangs in the village of Abu Falah, northeast of Ramallah. The attack resulted in the killing of three citizens and the injury of several others with varying degrees of wounds, after settlers opened live fire at residents during a large scale assault targeting the village. During the attack, Israeli occupation forces reportedly detained residents and provided support to the settlers.

The Ministry affirms that this assault comes within the context of a serious and systematic escalation in the crimes committed by settler militias against Palestinian citizens, their land, and their property throughout the occupied West Bank. These attacks are carried out with coordination, backing, and encouragement from Israeli occupation forces.

The Ministry considers what occurred in Abu Falah to be an act of organized terrorism that requires urgent international legal action to designate settler militias as terrorist organizations and hold all those responsible accountable. It also calls for immediate action to end the ongoing genocide and forced displacement against the Palestinian people.

The Ministry holds the Israeli government fully and directly responsible for this crime and for the continuing series of attacks carried out by settler militias. It warns of the dangers of normalizing the crimes committed by the occupation and its settlers in the occupied West Bank.
The Ministry renews its call on the international community and all its institutions to take urgent action to stop settler terrorism, provide international protection for the Palestinian people, and hold those responsible for these crimes accountable in order to ensure they do not escape punishment.

The Ministry also affirms the steadfastness of the Palestinian people on their land and their commitment to their legitimate national rights despite all attempts at destruction and forced displacement, while continuing diplomatic and political efforts to hold all those involved in crimes against the Palestinian people accountable.
