Minister Shahin praised the historical brotherly relations between Palestine and Tunisia

16/05/2024 - Dr. Varsen Aghabekian Shahin, the Minister of Sate for Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, met today with the Tunisian Ambassador to Palestine, Mr. Habib Ben Farah, praising the historical relations between Palestine and Tunisia and Tunisia's steadfast support for the Palestinian cause. They discussed recent developments in Palestine, including ongoing Israeli aggression.

Minister Shahin stressed the importance of empowering the Palestinian government to serve its people by creating a political horizon conducive to ending the occupation and recognizing a Palestinian statehood.

Ambassador Ben Farah reaffirmed Tunisia's deep-rooted interest in the Palestinian cause, emphasizing its prominence in Tunisian foreign policy. He expressed Tunisia's commitment to supporting the Palestinian struggle for freedom, independence, and self-determination.

The meeting also addressed bilateral cooperation, with both sides expressing readiness to strengthen relations through political consultations and joint ministerial committee meetings.
