Minister Shahin Meets the Russian Ambassador to Discuss Government Empowerment Plans

15/05/2024 - The Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Dr. Varsen Aghabekian Shahin, met today with the Russian Ambassador to Palestine, Mr. Gocha Buachidze, to discuss plans for empowering the Palestinian government. She congratulated Russia on its successful presidential elections and expressed gratitude for its support of Palestinian rights and humanitarian aid to Gaza. Shahin emphasized the need to stop the genocide in the Gaza Strip, ensure humanitarian aid, curb settler violations in the West Bank, and achieve financial stability. She called for international efforts to create a political solution for an independent Palestinian state.

Ambassador Buachidze reaffirmed Russia's support for the Palestinian cause and the two-state solution, highlighting the importance of strengthening bilateral relations.
