Ministry of Foreign Affairs Condemns Settler Attacks in Southern Nablus, Calls for Urgent International Sanctions

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates strongly condemns the terrorist attacks carried out by settler militias at dawn on Monday in the occupied West Bank, including the towns of Al-Lubban Al-Sharqiah and Qusrah south of Nablus. The attacks resulted in the injury of 10 citizens, in addition to the burning of homes, tents, and vehicles, in organized and repeated crimes targeting the Palestinian presence and the foundations of life on their land.

The Ministry affirms that these crimes fall within a systematic policy managed at the level of the occupying state, aimed at imposing a coercive environment that drives Palestinians off their land through organized terror, in service of settlement expansion plans and ethnic cleansing. This occurs under direct protection, continuous support, and facilitation provided by the occupying authorities to these militias.

The Ministry calls for urgent international action that goes beyond condemnation, including the provision of effective protection for Palestinian civilians, the imposition of clear and binding sanctions on the settlement system and those who support it, and efforts to designate settler militias on international terrorism lists. It also calls for activating international accountability mechanisms, prosecuting perpetrators before competent judicial bodies, and obligating the occupying state to halt all illegal settlement activities.

The Ministry stresses that the absence of practical measures constitutes a cover for the continuation of these crimes and undermines the chances of achieving peace and justice. It affirms that it will continue its political, diplomatic, and legal efforts at all international levels to protect the Palestinian people, hold those responsible accountable, end the occupation, and realize the independent State of Palestine with full sovereignty and East Jerusalem as its capital, based on international law and relevant international resolutions.
