Foreign Minister Contacts Ambassadors to Ensure the Welfare of Palestinian Communities in the Region

Varsen Shahin, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, held phone conversations with the Palestinian ambassadors to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, the State of Kuwait, the State of Qatar, and the Kingdom of Bahrain, as well as with the Consul General of Palestine in Jeddah and the Permanent Representative of Palestine to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

During these calls, Minister Shahin was briefed by the ambassadors on the conditions of Palestinian communities in these countries affected by the current circumstances. She emphasized the importance of fully adhering to the instructions and guidelines issued by the host countries during this period.

The Minister conveyed the greetings of President Mahmoud Abbas and Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa, along with their wishes for safety and well-being to the Palestinian communities. She reaffirmed that the leadership is closely monitoring their situation around the clock and is committed to ensuring their welfare.

Minister Shahin praised the efforts of the Palestinian embassies, stressing the need to continue working tirelessly and maintaining constant communication with the members of the Palestinian communities, their representatives, and relevant authorities. She expressed hope that these circumstances would soon come to an end and that the Arab nations and their peoples would be protected from harm.

In response, the Palestinian ambassadors expressed their appreciation for the leadership’s continuous attention to the welfare of Palestinian communities wherever they reside. They also commended the ongoing instructions and guidance from the Minister of Foreign Affairs, reflecting a deep commitment to the issues of the Palestinian people. The ambassadors confirmed that all matters concerning Palestinian communities are being closely monitored during the current situation. A crisis cell has been established at the ministry to follow up and facilitate the needs of Palestinians in host countries, coordinating with relevant authorities. Several issues affecting Palestinians in the region have already been resolved through these efforts.
