The Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Tunisia, Haile Fahoum, delivered a letter from the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Riad Malki to his Tunisian counterpart Khamis Al-Jahnawi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tunisia, to develop bilateral relations.
Fahoum conveyed the condemnation of the State of Palestine represented by its President Mahmoud Abbas, the Palestinian government and people, of terrorism and the recent terrorist attacks in Tunisia. The Palestinian stance portrays the strong stand of Palestine with Tunisia and its people against terrorism, which aims at striking the unique Tunisian democratic experience, stating that the Palestinians are waiting for the Tunisian presidential and legislative elections and drawing the attention of the Tunisian people to the goal of development.
The two sides discussed ways of coordinating joint positions and moves at the Arab, Islamic and international levels to implement the resolutions of the Arab summit in Tunisia, where Tunisia presided over the Arab Summit.
The meeting also discussed holding a bilateral meeting between the two ministers, to coordinate bilateral consultations between governments, to explore the means of boosting and developing bilateral relations for the benefit of the two countries, and joint action on the international arena to mobilize support for the Palestinian cause.
