Malki participates in a panel discussion on a project to promote the national enabling climate for SSC and triangular cooperation through national cooperation agencies

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and expatriates Dr. Riad Malki participated in a panel discussion on the project to promote the national enabling climate for SSC and triangular cooperation through national cooperation agencies organized by the Islamic Development Bank, in which the bank participated in its success stories and lessons learned from Related programs in the area of development cooperation South-South.

The IDB also offered the main components of the project, foremost among which is the political will and then the national strategy, the establishment of a specialized institution, the provision of financial support, the creation of interconnected partners and the establishment of information centers, the most recent of which is the development of evaluation mechanisms for these projects.

In his speech, Malki said he was pleased to share the experience of the Palestinian Agency for International cooperation Pica  which, despite its novelty, has firmly entrenched itself in the international arena. Al-Maliki added that the story of the creation of the Palestinian Agency for International cooperation was based on the principle of benefiting from Palestinian experiences at the national level and in expatriation, adding that although the state of Palestine lacked financial resources, the leadership felt that Palestine could help and provide help through Providing Palestinian expertise from the Palestinian homeland and the diaspora to the people in the fields of health and education Accordingly, President Mahmoud Abbas issued a decree establishing the Palestinian Agency for International cooperation to be the arm of the State of Palestine and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and expatriates in relation to South-South cooperation. Since its inception, many cooperative projects, relief tasks and development projects have been implemented.

Malki said the establishment of the Palestinian Agency for International cooperation reflects Mr. President's keenness to express Palestine's solidarity with the peoples of the world, which is a practical translation of the beautiful response to those who stopped and supported Palestinian rights as Palestinian experiences and human resources constitute the Palestinian capital.

Malki concluded his intervention by affirming that the state of Palestine possessed political will and developed a national strategy for SSC, established a specialized institution and constantly looked for strategic partners and would be proactive in projects that would help to promote SSC. It expressed the readiness of the Agency to develop its expertise and human potential to serve the programmes of the Islamic Bank and the relevant United Nations bodies and to contribute actively to the achievement of the international development Goals 2030

The panel discussion was organized by the Islamic Development Bank and was attended by ministers, high-level international officials, a large number of international experts and a wide range of ambassadors and representatives of Governments, organizations and international bodies.

The meeting was attended by the Palestinian delegation participating in the Conference, the Ambassador of Palestine to Argentina, Hosni Abdul Wahid, and the Palestinian Agency for International cooperation.
