Malki: meets with his Argentine counterpart and signs a cooperation agreement between the two countries
BUENOS AIRES--H.E. Minister of Foreign Affairs and expatriates Dr. Riad Malki met Tuesday with his Argentine counterpart, Minister Jorge Faurie the Argentine Foreign Ministry's headquarters on the sidelines of the second high-level United Nations Conference on South Cooperation Held in the Argentine capital, Buenos Aires.
Minister Jorge Faurie welcomed Minister Maliki and his office to the presidency of Palestine of the Group of 77 and China. He was a leading role for Palestine in the preparations for the second high-level United Nations Conference on Southern Cooperation and the adoption of documents of the Conference.
In turn, Minister Maliki thanked Minister Jorge Faurie for his greetings. H.E has informed him of the challenges facing the State of Palestine under its leadership of the Group of 77 and China and the aspirations it seeks to achieve during its presidency. Palestine's desire to contribute in many issues during its presidency of the group.
At the meeting, the two sides discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to develop them in the interests of both countries and peoples. Desiring to promote cooperation among them, the parties signed a cooperation agreement between the two countries, represented by the Palestinian Agency for International Cooperation and the Argentine Public Administration for international cooperation.
The meeting was attended by Minister Dr. Riad Malki. Ambassador Hosni Abdul Wahid, Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Argentina, senior advisor Dr. Omar Awadh Awdllah, head of the United Nations and specialized organizations, and third Secretary Mai Safadi from the minister's office.
