Ministry of Foreign affairs and expatriates: the Security Council calls for the translation of international legitimacy resolutions into binding measures for the occupation and its settlers

Day after day, the gangs of settlers, their militias and their youth, scattered over the mountains and hills of the West Bank, prove to be an advanced battalion of the occupation army, committing attacks, crimes and daily violations against Palestinian citizens, their land and property, with the protection and support of the occupying forces. The brutal attack on three Palestinian citizens while working on a plot of land in Jabal al-Rayan in the village of Ras Karkar, where they threw stones and beat them, wounding them with moderate wounds. At a time when the ruling right in Israel continues to swallow more Palestinian land in favor of these settler gangs and to increase their numbers to more than a million settlers according to the right goals. In the context of the occupation authorities have confiscated hundreds of dunums for the construction of the Arroub Bypass Street, a 7-kilometer-long street, and other large bypass streets, as is the case with the Al-Ma'aleh Bypass Street, with the aim of linking the settlements to each other and transforming them into a single settlement grouping linked to the Israeli rear, This leads to the transformation of the Palestinian areas into a separate part, some of which are easy to control, and are linked to the cantons, not geographically, which means undermining any opportunity for the establishment of a true and viable Palestinian State.

The Ministry condemns in the strongest terms the continuing settlement operations under the blind American bias of occupation and colonization, a dubious international silence that reflects the failure of the international community to respect its decisions and to abide by its legal and moral responsibilities towards our people. The ministry again calls on the UN Security Council to turn its meetings on the conflict in the Middle East from mere routine data and a diagnosis of the situation in Palestine and the suffering of our people to the development of binding solutions for the occupation and the settlers, through the adoption of practical actions and measures imposed by international law and legality. And resolutions of the International Covenants.
