The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates strongly condemns Israel’s continued military assault on the Gaza Strip, including the killing of civilians and widespread destruction
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates strongly condemns Israel’s continued military assault on the Gaza Strip, including the killing of civilians and widespread destruction, in clear violation of international law, international humanitarian law, and the ceasefire agreement and related understandings.
Since the ceasefire was announced, more than 1,000 Palestinians have been killed — the majority of them children and women — in addition to thousands of wounded, as a result of ongoing bombardment and the direct targeting of civilians, infrastructure, and shelters. This confirms that Israel continues to commit crimes of killing and destruction despite the agreement being in effect.
The Ministry warns of the worsening humanitarian catastrophe in the Gaza Strip, amid the closure of crossings and the continued restriction and obstruction of humanitarian aid from entering in a sufficient and regular manner — in violation of UN resolutions, including Security Council Resolution 2803 (2025), and the provisional measures of the International Court of Justice — threatening a return of widespread famine, as warned by reports from the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC).
The Ministry calls on the mediating and guarantor states, foremost among them the United States, to take immediate action and pressure Israel — the occupying authority — to halt its crimes against Palestinian civilians, ensure full compliance with the terms of the agreement and UN resolutions, and secure the entry of humanitarian aid.
In the same context, the Ministry condemns the statements of occupation Prime Minister Netanyahu regarding the expansion of the aggression and Israeli control over approximately 70% of the Gaza Strip, considering them a contradiction of President Trump's vision and a serious violation of the foundations of the ceasefire — as well as a deliberate undermining of international efforts aimed at ending the aggression, preventing forced displacement, and opening a political horizon that embodies the State of Palestine and realizes the right to self-determination.
The Ministry reiterates its demand to the international community to take urgent and effective action to pressure the Israeli occupation authorities and activate accountability mechanisms, in order to bring about an immediate halt to all violations, systematic practices, policies, and crimes against our people in the Gaza Strip; to ensure a sustained and unrestricted flow of humanitarian aid and the entry of necessary materials including shelter and medical care; and ultimately to achieve a comprehensive cessation of aggression, Israeli withdrawal, recovery and reconstruction, and the securing of international protection for our Palestinian people until independence and the end of the Israeli occupation of the land of the State of Palestine.
