This Ministry of Foreign Affairs Condemns Netanyahu’s Incursion into the Occupied West Bank and Calls for the Immediate Implementation of the New York Declaration
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates strongly condemns Prime Minister Netanyahu’s provocative incursion into the illegal settlement of “Ofra”, during which he vowed to continue seizing land in the occupied West Bank in order to prevent the establishment of an independent Palestinian State. The Ministry considers these illegal actions as part of Israel’s ongoing attempt to entrench a settler-colonial and apartheid regime through policies of genocide, forced displacement, and annexation, while simultaneously encouraging settler terrorism, violating international law, and fueling a dangerous cycle of violence and instability.
The Ministry urges the international community to confront the escalating calls for the annexation of the occupied West Bank and to advance broader recognition of the State of Palestine, including the granting of its full membership in the United Nations. It calls for the adoption of effective international and European measures to safeguard the two-state solution, impose sanctions on the occupying Power, and intensify pressure to immediately secure a ceasefire, end genocide, deliberate starvation, forced displacement, and annexation, and to ensure the urgent implementation of the New York Declaration.
