The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates// Palestinian Diplomacy Initiates International Pressure to Stop Erdan’s Decision Against Palestine TV.

Ramallah - 12/5/2020 - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemns, in the strongest terms, the decision of the so-called Minister of Internal Security in the Occupying state to renew his previous arbitrary decision issued on October 19, 2019, to ban Palestine TV and its crew from the right to work in occupied East Jerusalem, as he extended his decision preventing the TV and its crews from operating inside Israel.

The Ministry considers that this decision constitutes a flagrant violation of international law and international legitimacy and its decisions, which confirm that East Jerusalem is an integral part of the Palestinian territory occupied since 1967, as it is a flagrant violation of freedom of opinion and expression and freedom of the press guaranteed by international humanitarian law, as well as an extension of the open occupation war on East Jerusalem, with the aim of capturing it, and on the Palestinian national and humanitarian presence in Jerusalem. At the same time, the Ministry affirms that this decision is another episode of the violent and continuous Israeli coup against the signed agreements, and a systematic Israeli persistence in taking colonial measures that would prejudice the final negotiated issues, and work to resolve its fate and future unilaterally and by force and away from the negotiating table. All of this is under the umbrella of the complete American bias towards the occupation, its colonial interests and projects.

According to the instructions of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Dr. Riad Malki, the ministry circulated to the ambassadors of the State of Palestine, quickly, to go to the ministries of foreign affairs, decision-making centers and public opinion in the host countries, or make the necessary contacts through the means available with those parties to expose this provocative attack on our people and the issue of Jerusalem in particular, especially with regard to all occupation measures against The Holy City, its identity, its features, its sanctities, the closure of its institutions, the large-scale ethnic cleansing operations and its attempt to empty it of any Palestinian presence that has a national meaning, and an attempt to deprive the world of the voice and image of the truth that is reflected and transmitted by Palestine TV on the holy reality of the city .What is required is to initiate the broadest international condemnations of this decision and other violations of the occupation and its colonial projects, and ask the states to exert maximum pressure on the occupying power to discourage them from this decision.
