STATEMENT BY MINISTRY

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates welcomes the recent statements by H.E. German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and H.E. Foreign Minister Dr. Johann Wadephul recognizing the catastrophic humanitarian situation in Gaza, the egregious violations of international humanitarian law, and the urgent need for unrestricted humanitarian relief. 

In these critical times, clear words coupled with equally decisive action from the international community represent a powerful catalyst for not only for achieving the urgently-needed ceasefire, but also chart a credible course toward the long-overdue two-state solution, which remains the only guarantee for achieving genuine peace, dignity, and security for all peoples in the region.

In this spirit, we reaffirm our commitment to working with our German partners towards the realization of these urgent goals.
