Ministry of Foreign affairs and expatriates: Colonial settlement escalation threatens the components and foundations of the State of Palestine

Many corners of the ruling right in Israel have launched provocative calls for the annexation of classified areas (c) and the imposition of Israeli law on them, and concurrently the occupation authorities stepped up their settlement and their ventilation operations in the length and width of Palestinian land. In occupied Jerusalem, the operations of the old City of occupied Jerusalem are being deepened through the implementation of numerous settlement projects to promote and deepen the so-called Jewish ghetto in line with the biblical narrative, to attract more tourists and to change the historical and legal reality that exists In the old city and to erase the effects of the Islamic Christian Arab, through the establishment of a wide range of settlement facilities such as the Al-Buraq wall lift, the "total village", museums, sweepers, streets, etc., at a cost of more than NIS 200 million monitored by the Israeli Government for this purpose. At a time when the occupation authorities are continuing their attacks on the displacement and deportation of Palestinian citizens from the Sheikh Jarrah neighbourhood by force, and the replacement of large numbers of Jews by the settlement projects being carried out in the neighbourhood, where the occupying forces are currently besieging and storming the house of the Abu Assab family in anticipation To evacuate him by force. Looting and theft of Palestinian land in the Salfit and Qalqilya governorates is continuing, with Israeli construction and Housing Minister Yoav Glent instructing him to begin implementing a plan to construct a new settlement city for religious Jews (elite generations) that includes thousands of settlement units.

The ministry, condemning in the strongest terms the expansionist settlement of colonialism in all its forms, affirms that it would not have happened without the absolute support of Israel by the Trump administration and the relentless defense of Israel's settlement and fascist policy in the United Nations and beyond. All this would not have happened without the state of weakness of our Arab and Muslim world, and away from protecting and defending the Palestinian cause, as was the case in the past. All this would not have happened without the state of international submission of American-Israeli intimidation and the policy of intimidation and threats exerted by these two administrations against these states. All this would not have happened without the Palestinian internal division resulting from the Hamas coup d'état on Palestinian legality, which weakened the possibilities of confrontation and steadfastness. All this would not have happened without the inactivity of civil society organizations at the international and local levels in shouldering their responsibilities for this flagrant and continuing violation of international law and international humanitarian law. What is needed is to modify these positions and start with ourselves.
