Foreign Ministry Renews Call for Urgent International Pressure to End Israel’s Ethnic Cleansing, Forced Displacement and Annexation in the West Bank

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates has condemned Israel’s escalating unilateral and illegal measures in the occupied West Bank, describing them as part of a systematic campaign of ethnic cleansing, forced displacement, and gradual annexation. These actions include the confiscation of vast tracts of Palestinian land, the installation of surveillance and communication towers, and incitement by far-right Israeli factions to expand checkpoints and arm settler militias, all of which aim to fragment the Palestinian territory and suppress the  Palestinian presence.

The Ministry warns that these measures, in conjunction with Israel’s stated intent to annex the West Bank, aim to obliterate any hope of a viable Palestinian state and permanently undermine the Palestinian cause. It further criticizes the international community for its failure to provide adequate protection for Palestinians or enforce its own resolutions, noting that this paralysis and blatant double standards only embolden Israel to escalate its atrocities.

The Ministry demands the immediate and uncompromising implementation of international resolutions, including UN Security Council Resolution 2334 and the UN General Assembly’s endorsement of the ICJ advisory opinion. It emphasizes that resolving the Palestinian issue and ending the Israeli occupation is the only path to achieving true stability and prosperity in the region and beyond.
