Foreign Affairs and Expatriates// Warns of the Significance of Greenblatt's Remarks Aimed at Imposing New Concepts on the Conflict
As US ambassador to Israel David Friedman reiterated his positions that gave Israel the right to build settlements, Middle East envoy Jason Greenblatt rejected the term "settlements" and calls them "neighborhoods" or "cities." Greenblatt refuses to call Israel an occupation state, and aims at imposing new concepts on the international political culture and the awareness of international officials, meeting Israel’s desire on the international arena, in clear contrast to international law and the international resolutions.
The Ministry condemns this colonialist plan, and warns the Ministry of the significance of Trump’s administration’s positions against our people, and its disastrous consequences on the security and stability in the region. Furthermore, the ministry also warns the international media outlets, especially Arab and local ones, of the seriousness of what is promoted by Trump and his team and the need to pay attention to its dimensions, in addition to exposing and confronting these positions through emphasizing the principles of international law that must be committed by the Israel, the occupying state, and the US. The ministry affirms that it will pursue revising the possibility of taking legal action and measures against Israel, Trump, and his team.
