During his meeting with the Indonesian ambassador, Ambassador Deek praises Indonesian positions of courage and support for the Palestinian cause

The political advisor to the Minister for Foreign Affairs and expatriates, Ambassador Dr. Ahmed Al-Deek, praised the deep historical relations between the State of Palestine and the Republic of Indonesia. This was when he met with the Indonesian ambassador to the State of Palestine, and Mr. Andy Rachmianto, on Monday at the ministry's headquarters in the city of Ramallah.

Ambassador Al-Deek reiterated the appreciation of the leadership, government and people of the State of Palestine for the positions of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia "Retno Marsudi" during the monthly debate of the Security Council on the Middle East last month, which reflected Indonesia's historic and sincere position with our people, suffering and rights in At all levels. We highly value the Indonesian stance and the sincere brotherly relations between the State of Palestine and the friendly Republic of Indonesia, he said.

Ambassador Al-Deek, informed Mr. Andy Rachmianto on the further developments on the ground and escalated the terrorist gangs of the settlers for their barbaric attacks against Palestinian citizens, their land, their sacred lands, their property and their crops, and the continued occupation by Israel of the occupying Power by imposing its settlement policies To deepen settlement in the occupied Palestinian territory and to impose a fait accompli on the ground, ending the two-state solution and establishing a system of apartheid, Ambassador Deek said that the suspension of the international force in Hebron was an attempt to conceal the crimes of the occupation and its violations.

Ambassador Al-Deek also confirmed the Palestinian leadership's rejection of the US administration's decisions against the Palestinians, noting that the US Administration is a protection for the occupation policies and the herds of settlers and that the US role is complementary to the occupation, targeting the Palestinian people and their leadership.

For his part, Ambassador Mr. Andy Rachmianto, expressed his pleasure to visit Palestine, stressing his country's stance in support of the Palestinian cause in all international forums, and stressed the importance of continued consultation and follow-up between the missions of the two countries in New York, under Indonesia's assumption of a non-permanent seat in the Security Council for the two years 2019-2020, stressing that Indonesia will always be in the forefront in support of the Palestinian people towards independence. Ambassador Mr. Andy Rachmianto,  praised the depth of the historical ties that bind Indonesia and Palestine, especially with the thirtieth anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, noting the achievements at the bilateral level achieved over the past years and the possibility of expanding and strengthening them in All areas of common interest, including in the areas of tourism and trade. Mr. Andy Rachmianto, noted that Indonesia would raise the value of its contribution to UNRWA to $1 million for 2019, as well as other government and popular assistance that Indonesia intended to provide to the Palestinian people as part of the ongoing Indonesian support for the Palestinian people and it’s just cause.
