Palestinian Ambassadors to Europe Conclude Annual Meeting in Warsaw

Under the chairmanship of Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Varsen Shahin, the meeting of the Heads of Palestinian Missions accredited to European countries concluded on Thursday in Warsaw.

The meeting reviewed the latest political developments concerning the Palestinian cause at both the European and international levels amid the ongoing Israeli war on the Palestinian people. Participants also assessed the current state of Palestinian diplomatic engagement in Europe and discussed ways to strengthen and enhance its effectiveness.

The discussions covered key priorities, including administrative and organizational affairs of Palestinian missions, efforts to secure further international recognition of the State of Palestine, coordination within the United Nations, engagement with the European Union and international organizations, and strategies for addressing regional and global challenges. Participants also highlighted the importance of expanding cooperation with European parliaments, universities, local authorities, research institutions, churches, and Palestinian communities across Europe.

The meeting underscored the need for a unified political and diplomatic strategy focused on translating international recognition of the State of Palestine into concrete measures, strengthening international accountability efforts, and supporting the implementation of the two-state solution. It also reaffirmed the importance of continued engagement with the European Union to advance a full partnership agreement with the State of Palestine.

The meeting concluded with the adoption of a set of practical priorities that will guide the work of Palestinian embassies across Europe in the coming period, with the aim of strengthening coordination between the Ministry and its diplomatic missions and enhancing the effectiveness of Palestinian diplomatic outreach.
