The Palestinian international cooperation agency continues its development programs in the African continent

The Palestinian International Cooperation Agency is in the process of strengthening its development programs in Africa in line with its strategy and plans in the areas of development and vitality, including the sectors of health, agriculture and energy, in accordance with the instructions of President Mahmoud Abbas to exert all possible efforts through the resources of the State of Palestine to enable and develop cooperation with African countries in the areas of  development through which the State of Palestine can share its expertise and knowledge and provide technical support.

Dr. Tamer Al Khatib, head of the program of transferring specialized knowledge in energy at the Palestinian International Cooperation Agency and in cooperation with the German Foundation for Development (GLS), is implementing the first phase of the project of providing solar energy systems for more than 370 children at the Rudolf Steiner School Complex, outside the Kenyan capital Nairobi.

The Director General of PICA Imad Al-Zuhairi said that the project of solar energy for schools in Kenya reflects the interest of the State of Palestine in transferring its expertise and developing the relationship with this important African country as the program of the current agency working on its implementation in Kenya now falls within the contribution of the State of Palestine in achieving its goals, this project is the first international project to be implemented by the agency in Kenya.

Zuhairi added that this project of the solar regulations will be a model to be built in the coming programs in other African countries and the success of this project will expand the circle of partners to serve the achievement of common goals which fall within the framework of the implementation of the Global Development Goals.
