The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates welcomes the announcement by French President Emmanuel Macron regarding France’s intention to recognize the State of Palestine

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates welcomes the announcement by French President Emmanuel Macron regarding France’s intention to recognize the State of Palestine in the coming months. This step reaffirms France’s commitment to international principles and United Nations resolutions that uphold the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, particularly their right to self-determination and statehood.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs urges all countries that have yet to recognize the State of Palestine, to take this important step. The Ministry also calls for support of Palestinian efforts to secure full UN membership and encourages all states to participate in the upcoming international conference in June, co-chaired by France and Saudi Arabia, to advance the implementation of the two-state solution.
