The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates refutes the narrative presented by the Israeli occupation forces

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates refutes the narrative presented by the Israeli occupation forces regarding the gunfire directed at the diplomatic delegation during its field visit near one of the gates erected by the Israeli army at the entrances of Jenin Refugee Camp. 
In this regard, the Ministry affirms the following facts:
    -The Ministry, in coordination with the Governorate of Jenin, had announced the diplomatic visit to Jenin Governorate more than 10 days in advance.
    -The delegation included ambassadors, consuls, and representatives of 27 countries and international organizations, who traveled in their diplomatic vehicles to Jenin Governorate.
    -The delegation met with the Governor of Jenin and local representatives at the governorate headquarters for over two hours, during which they received a detailed briefing on the situation facing the city, the refugee camp, and surrounding villages and towns.
    -The delegation visited one of the camp entrances, which was blocked by high earthen barriers, and then moved in a diplomatic convoy to another iron gate placed by the Israeli army at another entrance to the camp, located approximately 500 meters from the first gate.
    -The delegation remained at the iron gate for more than 15 minutes, during which they listened to a briefing by the Governor of Jenin on the conditions in the camp, in the presence of a large number of journalists and media representatives, before the Israeli army opened fire toward the diplomatic delegation.
