Ninth Palestinian Cinema Week opens in Bulgaria

Palestine's ambassador of  Bulgaria Ahmed Mazbooh, opened the week of Palestinian cinema in the Bulgarian capital Sofia, in the  10th Minar Film Festival for the Middle East and North Africa films at the Cinema Hall in the center of the capital Sofia, in the presence of members of the diplomatic in Bulgaria , and  A large number of Bulgarian guests, both official and citizens.

Ambassador Mazbooh,  explained that Palestine participated for the ninth consecutive year in this festival, noting that this year's participation comes with two long films, the film "Duty-wedding invitation" to the Palestinian directed by Ann Mary Jacir and the film "Writing on the Snow" by the Palestinian director Rachid Mashrawi.

"Culture and art are a means of struggle and no less important than the political and diplomatic struggle to advance the just cause of Palestine," he said. Praising the role of filmmaker Ann Mary Jacir and director Rachid Mishrawi in the development and enrichment of the Palestinian cinema, then he touched on the film that revolves in the Nazareth, the ancient Palestinian city founded by our ancestors, the Aramaic and the Canaanites, which maintained the Palestinian Arab, despite Its occupation by Israel in 1948, he stressed that thanks to the struggle and resistance of our people, the occupation will be eliminated and a free and independent state of Palestine will be based in Jerusalem.

Palestinian films will be displayed in a number of cinemas in the Bulgarian capital of Sofia on a two-week house of the opening ceremony.
