Ministry of Foreign Affairs Condemns Netanyahu and His Son’s Attack on President Macron, Urges Europe to Accelerate Recognition of the State of Palestine

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemns the unjustified attack and offensive remarks made by Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and his son against French President Emmanuel Macron, in response to his recent statements expressing intent to recognize the State of Palestine. The Ministry views these comments as a clear admission of Netanyahu’s ongoing hostility toward a peace process based on the two-state solution, and as further evidence of his disregard for international legitimacy and continued preference for violence and military solutions over political dialogue.

The Ministry considers this attack yet another reflection of the true nature of Israeli policies rooted in genocide, displacement, and annexation, and a reaffirmation of Netanyahu’s insistence on isolating Gaza from the West Bank in an attempt to undermine any prospects for a sovereign and unified Palestinian state.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stresses that such colonial positions must compel France and the European Union to expedite their steps toward recognizing the State of Palestine, an essential move to preserve the two-state solution and promote peace, stability, and prosperity in the region.
