Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Meets Swiss Foreign Minister

Dr. Varsen Shaheen, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, met Swiss Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis on the sidelines of the high-level segment of the 58th session of the Human Rights Council in Geneva, Switzerland. 

During the meeting, Minister Shaheen briefed Mr. Cassis on the latest developments in the occupied Palestinian territory, including the ongoing crimes committed by the Israeli occupation in the West Bank and the continued forcible displacement of the Palestinian people. Minister Shaheen reaffirmed the State of Palestine’s unequivocal rejection of displacement and underscored the urgent need for states to take all necessary measures in accordance with their responsibilities under international law.
