Minister of Foreign Affairs Receives Credentials of UNESCO Representative and Stresses Protection of Palestinian Cultural Heritage
Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Varsen Shahin, received, via videoconference, the credentials of the UNESCO Representative to the State of Palestine and Head of its Ramallah Office, Karim Hendili.
Minister Shahin congratulated Hendili on assuming his new duties and reaffirmed Palestine’s readiness to support UNESCO’s work and strengthen cooperation. She underscored UNESCO’s vital role in protecting Palestinian cultural heritage amid ongoing Israeli violations and warned against measures aimed at altering the legal status of the occupied West Bank in contravention of international law.
Hendili, in turn, affirmed his commitment to enhancing partnership and cooperation with the State of Palestine.
