Foreign Minister Meets Arab Ambassadors and Speaker of the Thai House of Representatives, Briefs Them on Latest Developments in Palestine

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Varsen Shahin, held a series of meetings with several Arab ambassadors and with the Speaker of the House of Representatives of Thailand, Wan Muhamad Noor Matha. The discussions focused on the latest developments in Palestine and ways to strengthen Arab and international support for the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.

In her meeting with a group of Arab ambassadors, Minister Shahin underscored the importance of a unified Arab position on Palestine and the central role of Arab states in supporting Palestinian rights within international forums. She also highlighted the dire humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip and the escalation of settler attacks in the West Bank, emphasizing that Gaza, the West Bank, and Jerusalem constitute a single political entity. She reaffirmed that any viable peace plan must be grounded in international law, relevant UN resolutions, and the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination.

In a separate meeting with the Speaker of the Thai House of Representatives, Wan Muhamad Noor Matha expressed Thailand’s support for Palestine and its readiness to further enhance parliamentary and diplomatic cooperation. He affirmed Thailand’s commitment to standing by the Palestinian people and their rights in various international platforms.

Minister Shahin also participated in the official celebration of Oman’s National Day in Bangkok, attended by a number of Arab and foreign ambassadors and diplomats, representatives of the Thai government, and the Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Thailand, Jihad Qaddura.
