During the Special Session for Members of the Diplomatic Corps Accredited to the State of Palestine on the 77th Commemoration of the Nakba, Attended by Ambassadors
During the Special Session for Members of the Diplomatic Corps Accredited to the State of Palestine on the 77th Commemoration of the Nakba, Attended by Ambassadors, Consuls, and Representatives of Over 50 Countries and International Organizations:
• A letter was delivered to the Representative of the UN Secretary-General, addressed to Mr. António Guterres, reaffirming the Palestinian people’s unwavering right of return to their homeland and rejecting all attempts to liquidate the issue of Palestinian refugees.
• The international community was urged to uphold its responsibilities toward alleviating the suffering of the Palestinian people and to ensure international protection for them.
• States were called upon to take concrete actions to implement international legitimacy and UN resolutions, in order to halt the ongoing war of extermination, forced displacement, and annexation, and to facilitate the entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip.
• A call was made to support diplomatic efforts aimed at achieving long-overdue justice for Palestinians.
• The vital role of UNRWA was reaffirmed, alongside a clear rejection of any attempts to undermine or reduce its services. The need to ensure continued support and enable the agency to carry out its mandate was clearly reaffirmed.
