During the political consultation between Palestine and Germany, Ambassador Jadoo calls on Germany to recognize the Palestinian State

A series of political consultations between the Palestinian and German Ministries of Foreign Affairs took place in the German capital of Berlin on 21 February 2019, where the Assistant Minister for European Affairs, Ambassador Amal Jado, presided over a political consultation session with the participation of the Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Germany Kholoud Da'bes and a file officer Germany at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Rami Erekat on the German side, the session was chaired by the Director of the Middle East and North Africa department at the German Foreign Ministry, Ambassador Christian Bock and German representative to Palestine, Ambassador Christian Klaghas, and a number of personalities and officials of the German Foreign Ministry.

Latest developments and political developments have been discussed with regard to the Palestinian issue and the current reality created by Israel on the ground, where Dr. Jado spoke about Israeli violations in Jerusalem, including the violation of holy sites, the closure of the door of mercy with iron chains, the storming of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the assault on worshippers. Dr. Jad also referred to racist Israeli decisions to Judaize the city of Jerusalem, steal more land and kill the two-state solution, and warned Dr. Jado of the risks of transforming the conflict from political conflict into a religious conflict and stressed the importance of a greater role for the international community in combating settlement and halting violations of Israel.

With regard to Israel's decision to deduct the allocation of prisoners and families of martyrs from Palestinian tax funds, Dr. Jado confirmed that the Palestinian government will not take tax money and that the government is sure to continue to pay the allowances of prisoners and families of martyrs and that the Palestinian leadership is currently studying options Diplomatic and judicial response to this decision.

International mobility and international efforts to revive the peace process have been discussed, and any negotiations with the Israeli side will be under international auspices, and the German side has emphasized the persistence of the German stance towards Jerusalem and the commitment to the two-state solution on the 1967 borders, and the importance of national reconciliation has been emphasized And go to the legislative and presidential elections. Dr. Jado called on the German side to recognize the state of Palestine because of the importance and positive impact of this step in activating international mobility and creating a political horizon to enable the two-state solution.

On the bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries, Dr. Jado thanked the German side for the assistance and financial and development projects provided by Germany, where Germany provided €100 million to UNRWA in 2018, and the debate in the political consultation session included the talk of cooperation In various magazines and preparations for the meeting of the Palestinian-German Joint Ministerial Committee later this year, Dr. Jado has called for the concentration of German support in the areas of C and East Jerusalem in order to contribute effectively to the promotion of development and the strengthening of the steadfastness of the Palestinians in those areas. . At the European Union level, Dr. Jado noted the importance of Germany's contribution to the push and development of bilateral relations between Palestine and the European Union.
