The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates // International deterrent measures and sanctions are required to stop the creeping annexation of the occupied West Bank.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemns in the strongest terms the Minister of the Racist Extremist Occupation Army decision to build 7,000 new settlement units in the colony of Efrat, and the disastrous promise to build new settlement units in the occupied West Bank, especially in the vicinity of occupied Jerusalem, and considers it an official Israeli disregard for international legitimacy and its decisions, and a blatant challenge for the successive international condemnations of settlements and the Israeli tendencies to annex large parts of the occupied West Bank, foremost of which is the annexation of the Jordan Valley and the northern Dead Sea, and it is a contempt for the international warnings issued by the majority of world leaders and international officials who clarified the real risks that arise from the deepening of settlements and annexation, with the threats they represent and undermine the chances of achieving peace in accordance with international references and the principle of the two-state solution.
It is clear that the occupying country is taking advantage of the global and Palestinian preoccupation to confront the Corona pandemic, just as it is taking advantage of the full American bias towards the occupation and its expansionist colonial policies to carry out the most heinous public robbery of the occupied Palestinian land. The Ministry holds the Israeli government fully and directly responsible for the implications of the expansion of settlements and trends of annexation and the imposition of Israeli law on settlements in the West Bank, as well as the pillars of the American administration who profess their support for annexation and settlement continuously, leading to the destruction and the loss of real peace opportunities, not only through what is called a deal Century, but through American encouragement to annex large parts of the West Bank. The Ministry considers that what is required internationally is to impose deterrent sanctions on the occupying power, to force it to stop settlement activity, and to wave international measures to compel the occupying power to withdraw from the annexation step and impose Israeli law on the West Bank. At the same time, the Ministry asks the International Criminal the speedy opening of a formal investigation into the crimes of the occupation and the accountability of the Israeli officials involved in it.
