Palestinian Agency for International Cooperation discusses prospects for joint cooperation with British counterpart

 

The Palestinian Agency for International Cooperation (PICA) has discussed with the British Development Agency (DFID) the joint cooperation programs and future projects proposed for implementation, especially with regard to humanitarian and development work projects.

 

The meeting, which was held on Thursday in the Office of the Palestinian Agency for International cooperation, was attended with the presence of Mr. Gareth Padfield, vice-President of the Office of the British Development Agency to Palestine,  and from the the Palestinian Agency for International Cooperation was co-director General Imad al-Zuhiri and Secretary Third Mr. Ihsan Abu al-Rab.

At the beginning of the meeting, al-Zuhiri welcomed the representative of the British Development Agency, stressing the importance of holding such a meeting with the aim of developing and pursuing joint cooperation and opening New horizons for future cooperation, including studying the possibility of implementing various development projects in a number of African countries and humanitarian projects For IDPs in Lebanon and Jordan.

For his part, Mr. Badfield expressed his pleasure in holding such meetings, and he was impressed by the message and vision of the Palestinian Agency for International cooperation. Padfield also stressed the need to implement development and humanitarian projects in order to serve the common goals of the parties, the countries in need, and the United Nations goals for sustainable Development for the year 2030.

 

At the end of the meeting, it was agreed to hold other close meetings between the Palestinian agency and the British Development Agency to follow up on the possibilities of cooperation between the two sides.
