Minister Shahin Receives the Accredited Spanish Consul to the State of Palestine

On July 7, 2025, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Dr. Varsen Aghabekian Shahin, received the accredited Spanish Consul to the State of Palestine, Mr. José Javier Gutiérrez Blanco-Navarrete, at the Ministry’s headquarters in Ramallah, in the presence of the Director of the European Affairs Department, Ambassador Adel Attiyeh.

Minister Shahin expressed her deep appreciation for Spain’s steadfast support for the Palestinian cause in international forums. She emphasized the importance of enhancing joint efforts and coordinated action to advance the recognition of the State of Palestine at the European level. The minister also thanked Spain for its intention to increase support for UNRWA, and for its commitment to continued political and legal cooperation aimed at ending the genocidal war on the occupied Palestinian territory and holding the occupying power accountable for its violations of international law.
