Minister Malki meets South African Deputy Foreign Minister
Minister of Foreign Affairs and expatriates Dr. Riad Malki met Wednesday with South African Deputy Foreign Minister Luwellyn Landers, on the sidelines of the 40th session of the Human Rights Council and at the high-level meeting of the Council currently held in Geneva.
Minister Dr. Malki briefed Mr. Landers on the latest political developments in Palestine, and the violations by Israel, the occupying Power, of the rights of our people, their property and Sanctities, and the minister of Maliki reviewed the recent escalation in Jerusalem and Israel's attempts to divide the spatial and temporal of the mosque's courtyards Al Aqsa, and the attempts of the occupation authorities to close the door of mercy in order to seize this area and turn it into a Jewish place of worship. Minister Dr. Malki pointed out that Israel is waging a religious war against the Palestinian people and turning the conflict into a religious conflict
The South African Deputy Foreign Minister stressed his country's position in support of the inalienable Rights of the Palestinian people, such as the right to self-determination, as well as his country's willingness to provide assistance to Palestinian institutions, and Mr. Landers condemned the Israeli violations against the Palestinian people He noted that South Africa supports the continuation of the seventh item as a permanent agenda item to the Human Rights Council, will not accept the undermining of this item, and noted South Africa's position in support of the two-state solution.
