Minister Dr. Malki receives a copy of the credentials of the representative of the Republic of India

Minister of Foreign Affairs and expatriates Dr. Riad Malki received today at the ministries headquarters in the city of Ramallah a copy of the credentials of the new representative of the Republic of India to the state of Palestine, Sunil Kumar.

At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Malki congratulate, Mr. Kumar, for the day of the Republic of India, which falls on Jan. 26.   Dr. Malki pointed to the historical ties that bind the two countries, praising the support provided by the Republic of India to the institutions of the Palestinian State, calling for the development and strengthening of the relationship between the two countries in all fields. Dr. Malki discussed the importance of holding the political consultation round and the joint Palestinian-Indian Commission, as well as holding the Palestinian cultural Week in the Republic of India during the year.

For his part, Mr. Kumar thanked Dr. Malki for his good reception and congratulated him on the  presidency of the Group "77 + China" and expressed his country's readiness to provide all support and cooperation for the success of the mission of Palestine in the group Mr. Kumar noted his country's commitment to continue to support UNRWA's agency for the Relief and employment of Palestine refugees.  Praising the level of relations between the two countries, he stressed that he would seek to develop bilateral relations in various fields.

In conclusion, Minister Al Malki thanked the Republic of India for its continued support to the UNRWA agency for the relief and employment of Palestine refugees. Dr. Malki wished Mr. Kumar success in his new duties to the State of Palestine, noting that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and expatriates in all sectors is fully prepared to cooperate to develop and strengthen bilateral relations between the two sides.

The handover ceremony was attended by Ambassador Mazen Shamieh , Assistant of the Minister for Asia and Africa, and senior advisor Abeer Ramahi, Chief of Protocol at the Ministry. Tariq Eid, director of the media unit Ibrahim Al Tari Head of the file of the Republic of India, Wazneh Masri from the minister's Office and Mohammad Abu Shamsieh from  Representative Office of the Republic of India.
