Foreign Ministry welcomes Int’l statement calling for end to Gaza aggression, condemning occupation crimes

RAMALLAH, July 21, 2025- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates welcomed today a statement issued by the United Kingdom, with the participation of foreign ministers from 25 countries, alongside the European Union Commissioner for Crisis Management, which called for an immediate halt to the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip and condemned the occupation's continued prevention of humanitarian aid entry and the killing of Palestinian civilians.

In a statement, the ministry said that this international stance reflects the international community's shock at the horrific scenes left by the occupation forces' crimes, especially the killing of civilians while they were trying to access food and water through what has become known as "death distribution points," along with the strong condemnation of child and civilian deaths due to hunger and thirst in Gaza.

The ministry valued this collective stance, which reconfirms the necessity of ending the brutal aggression on Gaza and rejecting forced displacement, colonial expansion and schemes that undermine the two-state solution through new colonial projects in the occupied Palestinian Territory.

The ministry also called on the signatory states and the entire international community to translate these principled stances into practical and tangible measures, including an immediate halt to the genocide policy, an end to the systematic starvation policy, ensuring accountability for perpetrators of crimes against the Palestinian people, and imposing sanctions on the occupying state, its leaders, and terrorist settler militias.

It reiterated its demand for immediate recognition of the State of Palestine, considering it a legal and moral step that contributes to protecting Palestinian rights and enhances the chances of achieving a just and lasting peace in accordance with international legitimacy resolutions.
