Ministry of Foreign Affairs Condemns Arson Attacks on Two Mosques North of Ramallah, Calls for Settler Groups to Be Designated Terrorist Organizations

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates strongly condemned the arson attacks carried out by Israeli settlers against the Grand Mosque in Juljilia village and Al-Farouq Mosque in Al-Mazare’ Al-Nubani, north of Ramallah, where racist and inciting graffiti was also sprayed on the buildings.

The racist attacks constitute a serious violation of religious sanctities and international law and form part of an escalating pattern of settler terror targeting Palestinians and their property. The Ministry stressed that Israeli authorities bear full responsibility for the attacks and their consequences, warning that the absence of accountability encourages further assaults and fuels instability.

The ministry called on the international community and the United Nations to take immediate and concrete action to curb settler terrorism and to designate armed settler groups involved in organized attacks against Palestinian civilians as terrorist organizations. It also urged accountability for all those responsible, including anyone providing protection or support, and called for effective measures to prevent such attacks from recurring.
