Israel’s Denial of Entry to Greek Trade Union Delegation Is a Systematic Attempt to Undermine Growing International Solidarity with the Palestinian People

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates strongly condemns the Israeli occupation authorities’ decision to deny entry to a Greek trade union delegation invited by the Palestinian General Federation of Trade Unions to participate in a solidarity visit to Palestine. Members of the delegation were subjected to interrogation, detained for several hours, denied entry, and ultimately deported.

The Ministry considers this arbitrary and unlawful measure a blatant violation of international law and trade union freedoms, as well as a direct attack on international solidarity with the Palestinian people. It reflects ongoing efforts to isolate Palestinians and prevent international delegations from witnessing the realities of occupation and the violations committed against them.

The Ministry calls on the international community, relevant human rights organizations, the International Labour Organization, and global trade union movements to condemn these practices and take effective measures to ensure respect for international law and guarantee access for international delegations to the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem.
