Absence of Deterrent International Measures Encourages Israel to Escalate War Crimes in the West Bank
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemns the war crimes committed by Israeli occupation forces against Palestinian civilians and their properties in Jenin, Tulkarem, Toubas, Al-Far’a, and Tammoun, including the forced displacement of 20 families in Tammoun and 15,000 civilians in Jenin refugee camp. The Ministry also denounces the systematic destruction of neighborhoods and homes using explosives, which leads to the forcible alteration of Palestinian geography.
The Ministry affirms that these Israeli crimes constitute a blatant violation of international law, international humanitarian law, and the Geneva Conventions. They reflect an official Israeli policy aimed at tightening control over Palestinian lives and deepening the gradual annexation of vast areas of the occupied West Bank for the benefit of settlement expansion.
The Ministry stresses that the Palestinian people will continue to stand firm in their homeland and uphold their legitimate national rights, despite Israel’s displacement policy, which depends on demolishing Palestinian homes. This policy fuels the occupation’s escalation of bombings and the systematic obliteration of the foundations of Palestinian existence. The Ministry holds the Israeli government fully responsible for the consequences of these actions and calls on the international community to break its silence and fulfill its legal and moral obligations to halt these atrocities.
