The Ministry of Foreign and Expatriates: Mass Detention Campaign in Jerusalem is a Crime Punishable by the International law and International Humanitarian Law
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemns the frantic arrest campaign launched by the occupation forces throughout the Palestinian territory, especially in the occupied city of Jerusalem, where during the last 24 hours, the occupation forces arrested 21 Jerusalemites after storming their homes, tampering with their contents and terrorizing their families and children.
The Ministry considers that the continuous arrests campaigns with various pretexts and excuses are complementary to the measures being undertaken by the occupation forces and its police aimed at perpetuating the capture of Jerusalem, completing its annexation plans, implementing the disastrous Trump's promise regarding it, and trying to strangle the Palestinian presence in the Holy City.
The Ministry believes that the Israeli government is fully and directly responsible for the campaigns of arbitrary and mass detention against Jerusalemites, and their consequences and repercussions as a crime against the international law and international humanitarian law. The Ministry also calls on the international community, local and international human rights bodies and organizations, the Human Rights Council, and the International Red Cross to raise their voices loudly in the face of these dark campaigns aimed at undermining the resilience of our people in Jerusalem. The Ministry affirms that the measures of the occupation against Jerusalem and its citizens will not undermine the resilience of Jerusalemites, but will increase their adherence to their rights and lands.
